About us

Android is a neo prog-rock music band located in Debrecen, Hungary. We regularly preform on stage, in festivals or in dedicated concerts. You can find our music on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/androidgrouphungary), youtube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnaOGgjvPs_QpCcA3Bj6k5A), on Spotify, iTunes and on many other platforms. The band was originally formed in 1980. Since 2008 the band continuously performs and produces music. The most recent line-up changes included the joining of Zoltán Nikolin (bass guitar, vocals) in 2015, and we recorded the material for the Man Maschine (Embergép, released in 2016). In 2018 István Létmányi also became a group member (lead guitar, vocals), providing another lead guitar for the sound. In 2019-2020 this line-up produced the East of Eden Revisited LP, CD, and DVD, as well as the Figurines of Svejk (Svejkfigurák) CD. The Another Midnight CD was released in December, 2021 while its LP version was issued in the spring of 2022. After the exit of Letmanyi, the Wordless Scriptum CD was made by the quartett formation. Earlier history of the band can be found in the About us/History section of this website. In our music we utilize elements of progressive rock, classic rock, folk music as well as classical music.
